Shipping & Delivery
Our standard (default) shipping method is USPS (United States Postal Service). Delivery is typically 1-4 days after mailing, excluding Sundays, but is not guaranteed. Orders to non-contiguous states may be longer.
Orders with a delivery address in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other non-contiguous locations, PO boxes or US military/diplomatic addresses (APO, FPO, DPO) will only be shipped USPS.
International delivery times vary based on the shipping method and destination.
We may change standard shipping methods at our discretion if a shipment results in unplanned oversize charges.
Products shipped by a third party get shipped through various methods.
*Downloadable items, gift certificates, and membership/pre-order fees are not included in free shipping calculations.
Orders typically ship within 3-5 business days but are subject to change at any time.
Common Questions
Can I change my order? Contact us as soon as possible and we'll see if it's still possible. If it has shipped or is in processing we are unable to do so.
Can my orders be combined? Maybe, please contact us with your order numbers if you have multiple orders to combine and we'll see what we can do.
I accidentally gave the wrong address, what can be done? Customers are responsible for giving us the correct address at checkout. If you contact us quickly enough we may be able to fix it for you. If a package gets returned due to a wrong address at checkout, we'll contact you for the correct address if you would like it reshipped or refunded. If you would like it reshipped, will invoice you for the new shipping amount (even if shipping was free initially). If you opt for a refund, there will be a 15% restocking fee and original shipping charges (the amount Keeper of the Scissors paid to ship your purchase) deducted from the refund.
I ordered in-stock items and pre-order items together. When will they ship? If pre-order items are on your order, your whole order will ship when the pre-ordered items are released and ready for shipping. If you'd like us to ship the in-stock items at the time of purchase please place the orders separately. (one for preorder and one for in-stock) If you have questions please contact us.
Taxes on U.S. Orders
Taxes will be charged on most U.S. orders. Recent legislation has allowed states to mandate whether sales tax can be charged on online purchases shipping to their state. Most states have enacted laws to take advantage of this. Based on the shipping address of your order, we may now be required to charge sales tax.
Disclaimer: We have had repeated issues shipping to a few countries and have been forced to adopt a "ship at your own risk" policy for some countries. We will not be able to reliably track or re-ship your package if it is not delivered and will not provide refunds or credits for lost orders to the following countries: South Africa, Mexico, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Chile, Panama, Ecuador, Malaysia, Philippines, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, India, Namibia, Pakistan, Falkland Islands, Brunei, Mauritius,and United Arab Emirates.
Brazil Disclaimer: Due to import regulations books can not be shipped to Brazilian addresses.
Customs, Duties and Taxes on International Orders
Any customs, duties, or taxes are the responsibility of the customer. Some countries may require us to collect taxes, GST, or VAT on their behalf. We will do so only if required and applicable taxes will be shown during checkout. Customers are responsible for understanding the laws and processes related to duties and taxes in their country and region. We are not responsible if a package gets delayed and/or charged duties and taxes by the customs office in any international country.
